Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Alarm Mission Android application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The short version: the App does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal data. It is designed to run fully offline.

1. Information we collect

None. The App has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and does not require an internet connection to work. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage data.

2. Information stored on your device

To function, the App stores the following only on your device, in its private app storage:

• Your alarm settings (time, label, selected ringtone, chosen missions, number of levels, fail-safe preference).
• If you choose your own alarm sound, a copy of that audio file is saved inside the App's private storage so the alarm can play it reliably. This copy never leaves your device.

This data stays on your device, is not sent anywhere, and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

3. Device permissions and why they are used

• Notifications — to show the alarm and its foreground service notification.
• Alarms & reminders / exact alarm — to ring at the exact time you set.
• Full-screen intent & display over lock screen — to show the alarm and missions when the phone is locked.
• Foreground service — to keep the alarm ringing reliably, even if the App is in the background.
• Run at startup (boot completed) — to restore your alarm after the phone restarts.
• Wake lock / vibrate / disable keyguard — to wake the screen and vibrate when the alarm fires.
• Ignore battery optimizations — optional, to prevent the system from delaying or killing the alarm.
• Read audio/media files — used only when you actively pick a custom ringtone. The selected file is copied locally; no other files are read or uploaded.
• Motion sensor (accelerometer) — used only during the optional "Shake to wake" mission. Motion data is processed in memory in real time and is never stored or transmitted.
• Camera — used only when you actively use the optional "Scan QR code" mission (to scan a QR you yourself generated in the App and printed). Camera frames are processed on-device in real time to detect the QR; no images, frames, or video are saved or transmitted.

4. Internet & third parties

The App itself makes no network requests. The only outbound action is optional: if you tap a "Support" / donation button, your device's web browser opens an external page at ko-fi.com/elanarchist. Anything you do there is governed by Ko-fi's own privacy policy, not this one. We never receive your payment details.

If you installed the App from the Google Play Store, Google may collect data as described in Google's own policies; that is outside our control.

5. Children

The App does not collect any data from anyone, including children. It is safe to use at any age, subject to your app store's age requirements.

6. Data security

Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is no server-side data to breach. On-device data is protected by Android's standard app-sandboxing.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the App changes. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
