How to export your French bank statement as CSV or OFX

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Budgeting tools need your transactions as a file, not the monthly PDF statement. Every major French bank lets you download one from its website (rarely from its mobile app). Here is where to click, bank by bank. Menu names are in French, as on the banks' sites.

CSV or OFX?

OFX (sometimes labelled “Money”) is a standard format and the most reliable for budgeting apps. CSV (sometimes labelled “Excel”) works too, but each bank uses its own columns. Avoid PDF: it is made for people, not apps.
